Here at Starling Farms, we breed for quality huacaya alpacas. We strive to produce a variety of colors, focusing on quality instead of quantity. We breed for great conformation, strong bone and a fine, dense fleece with good crimp structure. We select excellent bloodlines whether they have chilean, bolivian or peruvian in them. We look at the alpaca as a whole, not just the lineage behind it. I am REALLY into the fiber end and have my blankets processed. I crochet and sell my own products. We are very proud of our alpacas accomplishments, not only in the show ring but also in the cria they have produced. As we continue to grow our herd, we enjoy showing our alpaca in parades, at group functions and at shows.
